Someone asked me how much $$$ I have in the sound system in my car, so that got me thinking. How much do I have in there?
And the grand total is....$2520.34.
Not even done all the way yet either. Still want to get another amp for the subs, and perhaps throw down some more dynamat in the trunk.
Kind of unsure what I want to do, maybe get rid of the 2 12's I have right now and have one badass 12. Need some trunk space for college.
I have this much to say though, it sounds damn good, the clarity is AMAZING.

Well, if that laptop was dedicated for your car, then it should be pretty nasty.

Ya, i got that space problem too. I got a large custom made box that is angled the same as the back seat and goes from wheel well to wheel well. It has 3 seperately enclosed 10's in it and with the amps it takes up way too much room. I'm thinking of getting rid of the box(cheap), and making some enclosures behind the outer rear tail lights. That way i'll have the middle of the trunk open so i can drop the seats and fit some snowboards into the cab.... but i'm not familiar with fibreglassing at all. would anyone know how to make boxes so i don't lose my whole trunk? Has anyone done what i think i want? I think this would help anyone out that still wants to have a functional trunk without sacrificing alot on sound quality!!!

!/4 inch pinstriping, spaced apart with 1/8 inch pinstripes which i peeled off. during the day you only see a slight tinge of red shining thru, but when the brake lights are on or at night, you see the brakes perfectly

That was a cool idea. How did you match it to the car?

Heh, it gives pretty good back massages at least. It also pisses off the neighboors! That might have had somethign to do with the vulgar music I was playing though...
Next project for me is to hook up a switch to my sub amps so i can kill them if I want. That and hardwire my bacon buster. That won't be too hard at all. I actually could do it tonight but laziness has set in.

to cut the subs, just hook a switch to the remote power wire, that works best. And make sure the fuse on your main power wire is as close to the battery as possible, you don't wanna get a short anywhere along the line and cause a fire anywhere in your cab or trunk. issed:

Well, after cleaning up the wires tonight in my trunk, I thought I'd bridge my sub amp and only run one sub off of it. Wow! That thing BEATS. Gotta get myself another amp now.
465watts rms going to that infinity is some good sounding stuff.

Probably could do it with a multimeter.

$500 for me, my friends probably spend around 2500 for his set up(in his jimmy), its DAM nice, 4 15" audio pipes 2kwatts to each speaker, and another 1k to his mids and highs, and a 3 farad cap 2 interstate(?) batteries, and I think a bigger alt is coming
