tis the same on all aleros

you pop out the fender liner and get at it through the wheel well, a few bolts and nuts hold it in; it's a pain

its called the air resonator, it sucks cold air turns ti warm sucks it to the t/b, it is not a pain in the ass/ remove the fron part of the fender liner, 3 black push in clips in the side of the bumper, 3 10mm bolts beneath the bumper, 3 more push in clips at the front of the cradle
look up in the fender liner 1 more push in clip, the resonator is held in with 2-3 10 mm bolts, should take a total of 30 mins to do

Valley olds is an unknown quantity at this point
CAI gives less fuel economy but more power, while with WAI, it is Vice-Versa. I guess they decided to go for fuel economy.

holy crap...it took FOREVER to take out those pieces. i ended up mainly ripping out the resonator.

piecing together the piping so it would clear the water tank and my alarm horn which was in the way (i had to take it out and replace it later) took a long ass time too.

finally did it, tho!

i got the WAI from ebay first, then a few weeks ago i got the CAI for the v6 and used a lot of rubber connectors to make it all fit. i think both came from chromeintakes.

have you noticed any notable differences between the WAI and your current CAI set-up?

it seems to be more powerful, although that could be just cause i've had my car offline for two weeks.

really a PITA project. bdyman's a car wiz to be able to do all that in 30 min. i had to get someone with tiny hands to help me for a few nuts.
