AC/heater problem
So my vent selector doesn't work anymore. I did a search and found one topic but it was never answered. My AC/heater works but all vents are blowing at once and I cant just defrost windshield or windows, or just blow in your face or at your feet if you get what I'm saying. I've checked and it is plugged up right.
This is the knob that doesnt work.

I would pull the radio bezel off and see if the vacuum lines are hooked up still or if one is broken or cracked.
edit: You checked the vacuum hoses that go to the back of it?

Yea...and that one in particular breaks down and has springs inside of the Connection. I checked them all and they are in place perfectly.

When you pull the hoses off you should be able to hear it pulling air in.

i don't have a wiring diagram, but maybe there is a broken wire from that harness or 2 r shorted toether? now that i read it again rear defrost not working would be electrical, not vaccuum. but its still wierd that all vents blow at once...

On mine the actual knob broke (cracked). There was hardly any resistance.

The purple hose is the vacuum supply. You should have vaccum available any time the engine is running. There is a vacuum reservoir under the dash as well. Also check the vacuum connections on the intake manifold.
