strut bar installation

have front strut bar on front had to use a slightly longer bolt cuz the factory ones werent long enough to tighten down. only problem is the car makes a quite poping sound only when pulling in or out of a parking space u can tell its the strut bar plus when i take it off it goes away. the bar isnt touch the alt so i dont think its hitting it plus it only does it when pulling in and out of a parking space at very slow speeds? anyone have any idea wtf this is?

is it tightened down as much as possible?

try rocking the engine to see what it might be....

get a friend to stand there while you pull in w/ the hood up, to see what/where the noise is coming from....

i dont know if this mnatters but on each end of the bar there is a bolt that u can tighten or losen which allows the bar to turn. i tried having them tight and lose no difference. yea i could probably tighten them a little. i thought maybe they were too long or wrong size so i took factory strut bolts to lowes bought identicle one just a smidget longer just enough to get the bar tightened down. but once i got some slack i stopped tightening cuz i was afraid id do damage overtightening.

Tower strut?

If you didn't have enough thread to put the nut on, you have another problem.

If that's not what you're talking about, nevermind
