electrical problem...?

on my way home this evening i was sitting at a red light, and went to roll up both front windows. i wasnt paying attention and kept the switches pushed up even after the windows were rolled up, and this caused all interior lights to dim slightly, and also the rpms to go down slightly. i then tried it with all 4 window switches, and it did it slightly more. should i be concerned about this, that its taking that much power away from the rest of the car, or does this seem normal to anybody? i mean its not causing the car to run bad or anything, just wondering what it is. thaks for any help.

its because all the motors are drawing power to try to push the window up against the frame (and won't move) so its a really high, power draw for a second, which, yes, will affect your idle rpm for that second.

similar to kicking on your A/C compressor.
