reverse halo gauges... again

I feel bad asking this even though there was a very solid how to that was linked to by bryce, but i still am having a little trouble. can anyone explain how the tap splice is supposed to be used, because i cant find anything on it really. any help would be great. thanks guys.

take your center console out then cd player. put your gauges in with the overlays already in (with double sided tape) then fish the main wire down by where the cd player is supposed to be. and sauder the wires from the gauges to the small light in the cubby hole wires.

Anyways, to answer your question...

Tap splices are real easy and awesome to use. You slide it over the wire you want to tap into. There's two channels in the tap splice: one for the existing wire, and one that has a wall the new wire hits. You slide it onto the existing wire, then stick the new wire into the other channel, and use pliers to squeeze the metal piece down into the wires, then fold over the plastic cover and lock it shut.

awesome ion, thanks a lot man. should be able to get the glow gauges in tomorrow. hopefully all will go smoothly and i can throw some pics up soon.
