Talking New Suspension

Greetings Everyone,

So finally after two months of buying parts, I finally had everything needed to replace the struts and springs. I have KYB GR2 struts with Eibach Springs. The strut mounts, dust boots, and springseat insulators are also KYB. I just got the alignment (courtesy of Firestone's lifetime alignment) and I LOVE IT!! It's tight around corners and not one bit of moves yet. I found a few spots to kind of test everything at low speed. Awesome. Tomorrow, I'm going find a few twisties.

Heres a few pictures. Ok, a few more than a few.

The new toys, all assembled.

The fronts, old and new.

The rears, old and new.

One of the rears before it was weighted down. A beautiful sight.

One of the rears after it was weighted down. I hope that was normal.

A front before weighted down.

Same front after weighted down.

BTW, I love the way it feels and handles.

Dude thats awesome how much do you think it dropped it ? I'm thinking of getting the same set up you have as soon as its time for new suspension..... or when i have some money to burn, whichever comes first.

Eibach Pro give a 1 inch drop roughly. A bit more in the rear, something like 1.4 I think.

I measured from the ground to the top of the fenderwell before and after with all four wheels on the ground. Front dropped .75 and back dropped 1.25. I don't remember the exact numbers, but ended up in the 27 in area.

Nice, nothing like new suspension.

Eibachs say they drop you 1.2 inches

if you have a system in your car it would be weighing the trunk down more by the way

Good job Dog. Take a side view of the car so we can see the overall drop.
