Well... *sigh* I got the Intake today. Was very happy and impressed... at first.
Attempting to Install it was a different story. The old stock parts were removed in about 5 minutes. No issues there. However, it all started with...
The "Black 90 Degree Connector" is too short for the pipe if it's one way, and when flipped, rubs up against the throttle control cables... (glad I wasn't thinking of test driving it). So, tomorrow's going to be a new day, I'm going to try to extend the reach for the mounting bracket with a piece of stainless steel tomorrow if I can't find another way. Until then, I'm going over the instructions for about the 10th time to see if I missed something.
All in all, at the end of the day, it's a great looking pipe... if only it would mount as nicely. We'll see tomorrow.
*If the hint fairy wants to come online at some point and drop a couple hints, that's welcomed as well*

Can you get a pic or 2 to show where it rubs at??? I am also looking at this intake as well. For 80 bux who wouldn't!?!?! One last thing...it looked like it had all of the necessary hookups from the stock intake on it as well....is that correct? Thanks, Rob

someone needs to live close to me with a 2.2 so i can make a cold air intake. i can get the low profile right angle couplers easy enough. the rest is all cake if i'd have a car to work with.

Okay, it's mounted... finally. Tonight I was going to take it off, polish it up, clean up the engine bay, and yeah...
It's working good. I ended up having to remodify the mounting bracket on the pipe. I'll throw some pics on tomorrow when I'm done working on it.
Stupid Rain. Stupid no garage right now. Stupid everything.

It probably would in a J-Body. My K&N intake has a coupler which bends towards the front of the car before it goes towards the drivers side.
Mine's polished though.

The intake's workin' really good. No complaints. As for performance increase (hp), Not really overly noticable. But yeah, 120 CND, not bad at all.

I know it's a little older thread, but what mods did you have to do to the bracket? I was considering this intake soon. Has anyone else tried it yet and if so, what kind of feedback?

I ended up bending it back by about a 20 degree bend, and then had to bend it outwards. Once that was done, it was fitting great.

had to freakin sweat just to put it on. the rubber thing that connects to the throttle body wont fit good. the hole for the IAT sensor is to small and no freakin instructions. i asked them if they hav one for that model and said that they dont but i saw some threads in here that they had instructions.

forgive my ignorance...
a cai or sri increases power...therefore lowers mpg
but a wai increases mpg? (bc the air is less dense)
because i was reading somewhere that a cai increases mpg and i didnt think that was correct.
im looking for ways to make my car more efficient.

Exhaust... I used to get about 450km for a full tank of gas on the highway. Right now, with my exhaust done... 620 km my last trip...
On average right now I'm running 13km/L
