I dont mean to bump an old ass thread, but i cannot help but point this out.. how did you NOT get water in threw your intake if you drove threw water OVER your headlights.. i dont know about you, but my filter sits about 6 - 8 inches below my headlights, right behind my fogs.. if i drove threw water above my FOG lights my filter would suck that water up like a mongolian vaccume cleaner from hell, not to mention kill my engine.. how did water not effect your filter?

Yes, you don't want to have to pour a quart of water out of the manifold heh...

I assure you, im not exactly the performance nut.. but i got cold air intake and i know exactly how it works and where its positioned.. going threw water above -my- headlights would cause serious damage.. my engine would either stall from lack of oxygen, or just suck up as much water as it could and crap out..
now with a -stock- air box, you may survive water up to your headlights, or even a WAI, but a CAI.. i dont think so lol

how bout if you are going to go in water above the alero's headlights, you need a 4x4 because its rediculous to go into water that high.
