Plug Wires

Wondering what you guys think the best size of plug wires to get. I know the MSD has 8.5 and taylor has 8mm and 8.2 thundervolts. Which are best?

I did not have a good experience with Taylor 8mm wires, and I have never used the 8.2mm Thundervolts. Several other people have spoken highly about MSD 8.5mm wires, but I've never seen any documented increase in ignition performance.
FWIW, I use factory ACDelco (Packard) wires, which are documented to perform quite well.

The MSD wires seem to be good quality, I have a few friends who have used them on various vehicles. I used to have Jacobs Electronics wires on my V6, but for now the 3400 has just plain old AutoZone wires.

your not gonna notice any increase with just wires, i believe i heard somewhere that performance plugs and wires will get you a whopping gain of 1 HP. Even that seems a lil bit steep to me, so who knows. But MSD does have the best rep and perform very well. IMO go with MSD

I work for NOMA automotive and we do most of the wiring for Gm vehicles.

I had my wire custom made.
The tech people here used my alero specification but replaced the wire with the ones that come stock on the new corvettes.

I also swaped my plugs for NGK Iridium.

The performance is hardly noticeable...but its all about the maintenance ...right?...lol
