Ok, dont use Royal Purple, yes it is a good oil, i used it once and it was good, but save yourself some money and get the Mobil1 synthetic oil. Its about $15 cheaper and Mobil1 was rated the number one oil. I use it now and everything seems to be running fine.

Many racers use Royal Purple. Mobil spends more money on marketing.
It's all a matter of preference, they all do the job.

I have been religiously using Mobil 1 5W-30, but since they changed their base (and the Alero is a summer-only car now) I may switch to Redline.

Mobil 1 5w-30 and I started around 62K miles.
G/F's car Mobil 1 5w-30 since second oil change (Nissan requires 6000 miles before going synthic)
Delta Shell 10w-30 at 129,000 miles and a 22 year old motor (turns 22 this month ) Syn will give the car a "heart attack" due to the gaskets and seals being so warn it
