i think its the low coolant light, thats not a good sign, u might have the problem i have and almost every other alero owner lol, check your coolant, if its low fill it, then keep checking every few days to see if its getting lower.

I don't know, start by checking the fluid level. Also check the oil for possible contamination. You might also be able to see the lower intake manifold gasket leaking, depends how bad it is. Search under "lower intake manifold gasket" as well.

Pretty easy really.
Take the plenum off. Then your down to the intake. Take it off, the LIMG in that gasket, since its the lower of the two intake gaskets.
If your handy you should be able to replace it in about 4-6 hours.

you can register your car at http://www.mygmlink.com/and download a PDF of the owners manual for free among other things to see what your icon means.

If it comes on when accel, you might just need some coolant, unless you see a choc. milk look on you're oil dipstick.
Is car parked on a hill, engine up?, could be just a little low

Also get your water pump checked, I have the LIM problem, but the main source of my coolant leak is the bad water pump
