Hello everyone! I was wondering if anyone can help me run a solid line from my iPod to my Alero's sound setup. I have a 2004 model that is completely stock. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

good luck...your best bet is to invest in an aftermarket radio that has an auxiliary input, otherwise you have no options other than the ipod kits they sell for like $200 in stores. I myself have a clarion unit with the auxiliary input, it cost like $125 delivered off ebay, hell of a good unit for a good price and all the options, and the only other thing I had to buy was a Y adaptor cord to go from the back of the radio to the IPOD, and you get to have a much better radio and your ipod playing in your car for a lot cheaper.

It all depends on what radio you have now. The low-end radio you can't connect the iPod to, the others you can.

i wouldnt use the ipod with AUX input.

you can find affordable headunits with ipod cables that also charge AND control the ipod, so you can throw it in the glove box. plus you'll get better sound quality

Both Alpine and Pioneer make Ipod Interfaces. The Interfaces cost around $100 from best buy, circuit city, etc.... I know the one for the Pioneer decks both charge and allow for control of the Ipod. The Interface connects to the ?-BUS Port on the Pioneer Deck which allows for a really good signal transfer from the Ipod to the Deck...

...Just my .02 (from experience)

And you can get the adapter for the stock headunit, if so desired. You can see one at http://www.pac-audio.com There are also plenty of other ones available.

You do have an iPod with the Dock connector, right?
