I have got Eibach Pro Kit Springs and stock struts right now. Im about to start looking for new struts because im going to be doing alot of auto-x'ing this summer and i think they'll drastically reduce my body roll. The ride to me already seems pretty ruff so i dont care how stiff the struts make it....What struts are going to give me my best bang for buck??? Should i buy them online...can i go to autozone and order something. Let me know what you guys think.

I had KYB GR-2's but those arent that "performance" oriented.....they are stiffer than stock so there is an upgrade but if you are wanting some serious autoXing struts...go with the Koni Adjustables or the KYB AGX Adjustables......I think it takes custom work to make them work for the Alero, but it's been done before. If you want a simple bolt on, no custom work, get the KYB GR-2's

like one white said, kyb's are the only reasonably priced performance shock that bolts right up that i have heard of, i have a set and love them, pair the gr2s with intrax springs and a stb and its pretty flat through the corners, but i have never done any autox ing with it so i cant tell you how it will perform under those conditions, sorry i couldnt be more help, get the kyb's from tirerack.com if that is what you are going for, they are pretty reasonable at like $50 a piece last time i looked. maybe someone with more info will take a look at this soon.

i have monroe sensatrac's all the way around. they are a better than oem replacement. they offer a smoother ride when you have drop springs, like i do. i have an extra set of fronts with 10K miles on them if you want them. let me know.

KYB GR-2 plus nice stiff springs like Intrax plus front and rear strut bars and some nice wide tires (I had 235/45/17) will get you an EXTREMELY awesome handling Alero

I put GR-2's on with my Eibach's. This combo gives you a good balance of ride and handling. With the Kelly Evo-Z 225/50-16's I'm running, I am able to consistently pull .92G according to the G-Tech. You can go with a custom set up, but if you don't want to have half of the car's value tied up in tire and suspension parts (or have to wear a kidney belt to drive to work), I'd recommend this package.

I've got STB's as well. Only have the factory sway bars front and rear, though. As I said, with this set up I consistently pull .92g on the G-Tech.

A G-Tech is an electronic device that plugs into your DC outlet that records 0-60 & 1/4 mile times, 60-0 braking distance, and g-forces. They cost about $200 new. You may be able to find one on E-Bay.

^^^ But are not that accurate^^^

I used a friend of mine's for a few days and it said I had 115 horsepower and did the 1/4 mile in 16.4 seconds.....and I DID plug in all the correct numbers and followed the instructions exactly.

btw...I had 175whp and did the 1/4 in 14.7.....

they are a waste of time and money IMO.....just go to a track

Ok so after looking into this further it looks like my only options are as you guys said the KYB GR2's for $260. OR the Monroe SensaTracs, which i cant find a price for as just struts. The only pricing i find for these are for the whole "kit" that has the spring and everything. Anyone know the cost for 4 of these?

2fst4u- Whats your reason for having an extra set of front sensatracs???
