Thumbs down

Hi Folks
due to the fact that getting rims for our cars is extremly difficult. I'm looking to get Rims from other manufactures. But for this i need the exact specifications of the original Alero rims.

This means Offset
Bolt Patterns
width and diameter (would be 6J x 15" ??)

To know what kind of original rim i mean, here a pic where u can see my rims.

http://freechat.webkicks.de/deppenchat/pro.../falloutboy.jpg

Thx folks,

i believe the stock gls are 16x6.5 with a +42 offset, it should be written on your rim once you remove the centercap...

I believe I read somewhere the boltpattern is 5x 114,3
If you find wheels overhere send me a link..

There was a NATO GrandAM parked in my street with nice wheels yesterday, but when I asked him if he wanted to sell or trade he wasn't interested

I'm quite sure the Alero alloy 16 inch is 115x5 with a +40 mm offset. The width of the rim seems to be 6.5 inches from everywhere that I read.

It's 115mm x 5 exactly. you could use 114.3 if you had to, but not recommended.

Offset, someone just posted that :P

One thing you need to pay atrtetntion to with aftermarkets is hub centric rings.

I forget the exact bore of the stock rim, but it's made to hug the hub lip.
That is what supports the wait of your vehicle. Your lugs just hold your rim onto the hub. So if your aftermarket rim has a larger bore, get the accurate hub centric rings. It'll make it a perfect fit. If you have gap, you'll need to retorque often, might get a vibration, and possible wreck the rim, ovalizing the bore. you can have rims reconditioned, but only so much. SOmetimes it's just cheaper to replace the rim rather than repair it...

I was under the impression it was 5X114.3 since its the same as an eclispe, mustang etc. and 5X115 would work but not recommended??

nope, it is what gre0481 said, we have a 5x115, but a 5x114.3 can be used such as teh mustang rims on my car, and my old aftermarket rims went on an eclipse because they are a 5x114.3

Mine came with 15 inch wheels. Seems like that's the ones he's asking about...

^ Boltpattern would be the same though.

I was willing to accept, it was 5 x 115 but now....
I guess Turbo knows, he's got the experience with wheels.
