Thanks, I now know where to look and what to look for. FYI, if I leave the defroster switch on, it will shut off automatically after about 5 minutes.

You can see part of it on your back window. Those two little black things that clip to the grid are part of the module. So that's what you're aiming for. You have to take off the coat hook, and a couple pieces of trim to get at it. The trim pieces don't come all the way off, so pull carefully. You'll need a 10mm socket to get the bolt off the module. Then just put the new one on and plug all the wires in same as the old one.

The 2 wires that attached to the window defroster grid are on the drivers side on my '99, other posts inferred that the relay was on the passenger side pillar. I hope this relay is "connector-ized". If I put a meter on the 2 wires, should I expect to see 12V with the defronster on? Thanks.

Hmmmm. Maybe it was moved over after 1999. My 2000 is on the passenger side. Not sure what voltage should be at the window.

You are right, I was confused as my '99 has visible connections to the rear window on both sides. I'm planning on going to the junk yard this weekend and try to find an N body. I'd rather learn how to remove the interior panels on a junker than on the one I own. Also need to get a "hazard switch" as my turn signals are flaking out. Thanks.

Don't blame you for wanting to practice on a junker. However, if you take one off of a junker, who knows how long that will last before if fries. As for the flasher, there is a recall on the flasher but I forget what year models. I put the info on a thread several months ago but can't remember where. Might want to do a search for it and then call a dealer and find out if yours is covered. I even think I put the phone number of the place you need to call and the bulletin number in the thread. If I find it I'll post it here. Good luck!
