Well my brakes are not squelling, but when i press on the brakes, it feels like the brakes are slipping. Normally its obvious when i need new brake pads but like i said i don't hear anything during daily driving. Anyone know how i can check this problem. Should i just put new pads on. P.S. i just put new ones on last year. But drove around 12,000 miles since then.

Does your steering wheel shake when braking hard? If you didn't break in the pads corectly, they will wear quickly

No shake of the steering wheel. And i had the GM dealership install the new pads last year. I don't know which brand though, i'm guessing whatever the stock ones are.

well, chances are if you have stock rotors, and have more than 20k on them, they are warped. This can wear down pads really quickly. Rotors and pads aren't that expensive or difficult to install... I suggest brembo rotors from tirerack for normal driving, powerslots from tirerack or PYFC.... and those sites both offer pads. Get ceramics so they throw less dust. Also if you've never had your rotors turned, or if you have some mileage, you probably wore out your rotors anyway.

my set of rotors before my calipers stuck had 90,000 miles on them without any warpage. you people just must be riding the brakes like a grandma or autocrossing.

If your on stock rotors, GM used cheapie composite crap and they warp easily and are'nt very good under hard braking if you have a little cash to spare I recommend replacing with aftermarket rotors, stock pads should be okay though

Yeah i was looking into Brembo, but i can only find rear rotors on tire rack, the only front ones they have are Powerslot and EBC i think. I would love to do a Baer Big Brake Upgrade but i don't have $1200.

or live in a state where traffic FREAKIN SUCKS. You can fly around out there by your house and not have to break too hard (unless you see a deer or something). Around here, you can't drive 10 feet without someone cutting you off.

Don't know if this helps but my brack are the same ones that rolled off the factory floor(never changed) along with therotors and the have 51k on them. I swear they where never changed. I also used to commute to boston each day for work so there was horrible traffic. I guess it just depends on the driver.

Yeah i was trying to email Baer to see how much their kits were and what all was included in it, but they're redoing their site or something and it might take a while.
Matt what all did you get in your kit?
