hello

i have a 2001 alero with a 2.4L and i was wondering what the rpm's are to running at when you are at idle
because i'm running at about 500 rpm's at idle and about 2000 at about 50mph

Um.. your gears can't magically change themselves. The 2000 at 50mph will be the exact same as everyone else.

thats a little below normal, should be more like 700 at idle but the 2000 at 50 all depends on what gear your in and how hard your hitting the gas.

I idle at 500 and at 100km -120kms/hr it is at like 2000 , and I have a 2.4l 2001 alero.
