I haven't posted on here in a while but here's my system update:
Profile 800w RMS amp.
Infinity Perfect 12.1 sub.
Sony 10 disc MP3 changer.
Sony CDX-M800 CD player.
Mobile TV 6.8" LCD.
Power inverter.
A/V switch box.
Playstation 2.
The TV was fiberglassed where the stock unit went and the new headunit was moved below ac controls (and I still had the stock cubby hole ).
The story behind all the words in past tense...
The morning after Night 1: Passenger window busted, nothing on the inside stolen. Opened trunk, sub not there anymore issed: . I took out the amp and changer incase they decided to come back before the window was fixed.
The morning after the VERY NEXT NIGHT: Well....just look at the pictures .
Window:
Trunk before/after:
Inside before/after:
The worst part is that this was OVER TWO MONTHS AGO and I'm still having to deal with the insurance company over more and more piles of BS.

Wow you had a nice setup. I like how you fiberglassed the tv in. But after that first night, I would've slept in the car or put it in the garage or something. Hope you get everything worked out with and insurance.

Thanks for the compliments. Yeah, me and my dad both wanted to sit on the front porch with shotguns ["Dueling Banjos" playing in the background], but we didn't think they would be that stupid to come back the very next night. Sucks that they were that stupid and us that hopefull.
I'll definately have at least 2 pain sirens inside the car next time. And yes, I'd love to fry the insurance people, over and over and over and over.......

that was a pretty nice install on that screen. I would have to hunt someone down if that happened to me.

I'm sure it wasn't anyone I knew personally. My neighbor two houses down saw 4 black guys (18 - 21) running through his yard late the first night, and they ran away into a tan Buick LaSabre when he came outside. He didn't see anything being broken into though. Police report said the pursuit of the criminals was closed due to insufficient evidence.
It was over $3k in damages and stuff stolen. Since it happened on two different nights and we called the police two different times the GD MF SOB POS insurance is putting it on two different claims ($1000 deductible instead of a single $500). I'll let yall know how much I actually get back. Hey, lets make a game out of it! Everyone guess how much I'm going to get back. I wouldn't guess too generous either, my insurance people keep roostering me around.
My guess is $1200.

Good God. You don't know who to hate more. The thief or the insurance. My bad, they are the same thing. Just keep pressuring them. You can't loose anything by trying. I would suggest dumping them after the claim and going with a much lower deductible. 1000 has to hurt.

that sucks man. Theives suck! Insurance company's suck!!!!But for next time, I suggest installing a 2 way alarm system. like a compustar.
I had my stuff jacked recently too, and I installed a 2 way paging alarm now, so hopefully they will think twice and if they dont I geuss ill be cracking skulls.

i think if you got a small metal edge on the handle and around the window, door, trunk, etc. w/ a extra battery and the right kind circuit, you could give someone a few thousand volt shock.
anyway, that sucks that you got jacked. hopefully you get reimbursed well and those pricks drown in a vat of liquid manuer.

UPDATE:
Check came in today from the insurance roosters. The grand total is....drumroll... $1025.27. Oooo Ahhhh. I can guarantee you that they don't use their own insurance if one of their company cars got broken into and vandalized.
Moral of the story -- don't use "Mercury Insurance" for your automotive insurance.

UPDATE:
Dad lost the check....looked for it all over....he can't find it.
Called our agent today but no one answered.
Oh yeah! Has anyone seen the new Mercury Insurance comercial? The irony is too much! A lady with an ALERO gets in a wreck and her great, wonderful, blah blah blah insurance company helped her out and it's all back to new. I swear, they made that comercial just for me to say "ha ha!"

What you need to do is run a small charge thru the body and chassie of the car, trust me after that shock, they won't be back.
I did that to the light on the back of my old house. The ahoe that lived behind me kept unscrewing the fixture from the base, so I tapped one hot wire into the base. It was turned again after that, but oddly enough, never again :gun2:
