My name is David and im 20 years old i bought this car for my wife. So the other day when i was going through the paper i saw a ad for a 2001 alero that needed minor engine work for $1500 with a 3400 engine in it. I went and checked it out and the car itself was in really good shape. The interior/engine was clean and it had 109k miles. I offered the guy $1000 but wouldnt take lower than $1200 for it so i couldnt pass it up and bought it today.
The engine has a bad lifter which im going to have a buddy of mine repair for me and have anything else done to it to get it running right. The car runs but its the annoying lifter noise that gets to you lol. Ill post some pics up soon next to my grand am. Im also a member at GAGT and im currently in the process of turbocharging my Grand AM.
In the future i do plan on doing a couple of appearance and performance mods for my wife to this car and hope to get alot of help from those experienced with these cars.
