Getrag 5 speed MT

According to the owners manual because it's a sealed for life tranny it never needs to have it's fluid changed, but the guys at Mr. Lube say differently. My car has 94,000 km, is this really necessary? I tried to do a search but it seems most people deal with AT's. I would like to hear anyones experiences with this tranny.
