3.4 Supercharger, N/A, Turbo
Here's the stitch guys..
pretty much everyone I know fixes up imports and everyone wonders wtf is an Alero I know my car has potential and I've seen what they can do from looking into Red Dogs car and Jackals but.. I was wondering whats the best bang for you buck when it comes to moding these cars?
I just have small mods right now.
cat back exhaust system.
MSD wires/coil kit.
I plan on getting the..
PFYC Chip
Chrome Intakes (Ebay cai)
Underdrive pulley
and then the question mark comes up..
I don't want to spend over 2500 bucks I have my own shop to work in and I have lots of friends that can weld.. yada yada..

turbo, hands down. you could probably piece together a budget turbo build for $2k. if you went N/A, that same amount of money gets you headers, heads, and a cam with a couple hundred bucks to spare, but no where near the power level. if i could do it again i would have just had the blown head gasket fixed and slapped a t3/t4 turbo on it and called it a day.

There are a few things you can do. Personally I like the s/c over the turbo.
Turbo will make power a lot quicker, but it's also a hell of a lot of heat to deal with. S/C runs cooler, and is belt driven. You can get a smaller pulley for it too fairly easy.
Mizly also has a s/c cam and a stage 1 and stage 2 n/a kit. I'm looking to get the stage 2 kit when the day comes to replace the motor. Both kits come with upper and lower manifolds, cam, PCM, thromo, new timing chain, complete gasket set, and some thing else I'm sure I'm leaving out.
The stage 2 kit will get you some nice power

So if I did go with the stage 2 kit what would I do about my fuel system?
Did Jackal make his own Turbo manifold and everything?

It comes with injectors, doesn't it?
I would think the stock pump would be fine, but you could get an upgraded one. Stock fuel pumps suck anyway

Me too. I've only driven my turbo-ed engine, but I don't get boost 'till about 2500rpm, then it's hangonholytorquesteer!

we both are clown. prove your claim of over 200whp. you cant just add up the hp of each mod and think thats what you have.

Myth!
The heat in the compresed air is from the compressing, not from the type of device doing the compressing. Under hood temps might be slightly higher with a turbo, but not that much different, and definatly won't hurt any performance aspect. Turbos also need heat to work, look up turbine theory for a more in depth explaination.
