OK with everything that has happened to the car over the past 2 weeks I've decied not to get the RSM racing heads, but after today I'm reconsidering.
Wheather I get them or not, I'm still doing headers and SLP pipes.
REASON NOT TO: <_<
don't wanna open the motor
too much money
buying an engagement ring
REASON TO:
last thing I'm doing anyway
easily in the 14's
easy to install headers with motor apart
want to recoat the UIM
I posted this in the general performance section because I want to hear everybody's thoughts. I have the 3400

it is a lot of money, but look what ya get out of it........the only reason you might wanna rethink is if your dropping some cash on an engagement ring you might wanna wait........other than that id say go for ithaving all that apart would make it real easy to clip on the headers and coat uim like you said........
but its up 2 u man....

i didnt think heads helped a whole lot, for what they cost

Back to the topic. I think you should go ahead and get the heads installed. You said in your post that this is probably the last mod you will do for a while, you might as well fork the cash over now so you dont have to think about it later. Especially after an engagement. All of you money will be gone then.

Just and I mean just came from RSM Racing in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. LIM leak so I got them to put their manifolds in. Very impressed. Nelson treats me good and the car feels smooth. Good performance gain. I'm at 135k so in 2 years i will be at 270k and I wouldn't hesitate for them to rebuild me an engine. Then the heads will go in. Oh and headers as well.

i dunno ken......if you were to get heads, you'd have to get a cam shaft to bring its potential out which would add more money you'd have to dump in, then you'd have to consider rockers, then lifters......its just one big money hassle. otherwise it would not be worth spending 1,200+ doallrs on. to me the 3.4 is definatly a challenge and definatly a money drinker, but if you stick with the 3.4 that shows you have a real hobby there. and with smokin i dont know wtf is goin on with his car. but anyways ken, if i were you, i would get an engine swap to the northstar if yo uwant some real power, or if you want to keep the 3.4 i would go with the ASE chip and some other stuff, but not heads, because if you really think about it 1200+$$ is alot of money, and could probably be put to mrs. redog and you 2 could go on a vacation or something for an anniversery or something, somewhere along those lines, ya know what i mean? so all in all i say no.

It's a 2000
I've been hearing about this cam for about 2 years now and still nothing <_< and it's not like I'm going with some bum company. Cams and lifters are a good investment but I think they will befit from heads anyway.
I have the headers already, they are waiting to be installed
I'm wait until March or so now, I want to get my tax return first, as soon as I get home from England (last year's tax refund is paying for all of it ) I'm making an appointment with my account. Of course I won't get my W2 until Feb 1

Nutshell: Given my new enlightenment on your situation, I now would suggest immediate installation.
Put em in!
If your only concern is about taking the engine apart? Can you have someone do it, well I guess there's the spending you're talkin about, huh?
Get some buddies and get some beer and bring some wrenches! :P

It costs money to go fast. If you're gonna do it, do it right.

Installing is going to be done by my mech  He's going to charge me $600 to do eveything.
Heads, Headers, and exhaust pipe work
That's the plus of having a mech for over 20 years
He loves working on the ho too, he wants to see what to can do
