What can this be? :S
Im driving along turn my signal light on, i make the turn, signal lights turns off but is making the sound it makes when you have a blown bulb (the fast clicking). Funny thing is the signal light switch is off. what is happeneing here? Can someone pls help. I have a 6 hour drive back home and this will be really annoying. Thanks

sounds to me like you've got a shorted relay supplying constant power to your signals and maybe the bulb blew which is why its out, the bulbs after being run for too long are prone to blowing because they create too much heat

I just checked to see if the bulb was burnt out and it is. Is this the problem?
Thanks everybody for your help.
Cherry....is it difficult to do this? i dont mind doing this but im am afraid if i rip this out i might screw somethign up therefor leaving my family and myself stranded.

its bad contacts in the multifunction switch. take it off, open it up, clean them. booya. fixed.
theres a how-to somewhere. (also online in various locations) its pretty common on these/GA/Malibus

i think theres even a recall for it right? i replaced my own part but you might be able to get it done at a GM dealer

pretty easy to do. even if you screw it up, your not really out anything other than turning signals. If you want, go to a junkyard and get a new multifunction off a car, and replace yours. THEN fix it, and swap back.

So its all good. I took it apart, cleaned it put it back in , horn works but it wont automatically disengage the signal light. i have to do it manually now. any ideas? or have i done soemthign wrong??

xtrm, i think i know what your problem is.
make sure the multifunction is back in place properly (little metal peg is seated where it should be. AND that its tightened down properly)
when i did mine, i tightened it some, turned the signal on, turned the wheel... didn't click off. tightened a bit more.. turned the wheel... didn't click off. tighten a little more... turned the wheel, it did click off. woot!
