I think you also need a FPR bracket of some kind.
I would have done the 3500 upper, but stuck with the 3400 due to getting it for free

Ken, free is no excuse. I got some tinfoil that I'll give you for free, but I got a nickel that says you won't put it on your car. LOL

James I can't give you the specifics for the 3500 upper swap, when I did mine it was a TOTAL custom setup. I didn't even have the entire neck from the upper. It was removed from the plenum and replaced with a 3" pipe with huge TB plate at the end, and custom angled to clear that big turbo.

what size intake piping are you using?
I'm headed to work, and forums are blocked on our govt computer, so might be another 8-10 hours before I get back in here.

If you have the "Naich-speed" original offered on Aleromod, I thought that was 3". Maybe I'm mistaken, might have been 2.5" But I know it wasn't any less than that.
I ask because if you're looking for low-end, you can start with ditching that CAI and switch to a WAI. That will give you a little bit on low end without much modifying, but it will take away some of your legs on mid-upper range. May be a fluke, but that's what I had happen to me way back pre-turbo days. Amazing how I can barely remember that time.

Excellent. I'm certain you'll be pleased with it. I know I have enjoyed the gains from the upgrades.

what size is the factory MAF? im about to spend money on a 65mm T/b and it would be senseless if my stock maf is smaller.

2 5/8 inside diameter, you should do fine with a stock MAF.

That's 66.675mm for the mathematically challenged... Or lazy ones who don't want to convert it.

Aren't all 3500s drive-by-wire?
Not to say it's impossible, but it would certainly be a daunting installation.

They make bigass throttle bodies that fit on the 3500 UIM just fine I know. No worries about DBW
