Ok. My stock 3400 Alero is gonna get a new exhaust eventually. I'm thinking about a Borla dual exhaust, (not too loud, and Newark cops are kinda crazy with the University of Delaware and everything.)

Would I, (or a shop), need to cut my rear bumper at all to fit the duals? Or would it be better to go with some single exhaust, keeping in mind that I plan to eventually get a Kato body kit this upcoming summer?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, links too. Thanks in advance.

just use a piece of cardboard or something and trace the side of your bumper with a factory cutout, trace on other side of bumper and just cut away with a tin shears or anything with a decent, clean cut........

um, have a professional do it. if you have to ask i'd venture to say you wouldn't do a very good job.

you dont really HAVE to cut out the passenger side if you dont want to. I would recommend it or recommend getting a body kit with dual cut-outs. Jim doesn't have his cut out.

nope, and I now have dual 3" pipes. What I did this time was warm the bumper with a heat gun and push the plastic up with something round, and bigger than the pipes, it worked out great.

Had mine professonally done, but if you're getting a bodykit, I wouldn't bother with the stock bumper getting cut

Old pic, I have SLP now, but you get the idea
