So today after some pretty good rain here in southern MN, I went out to my car and noticed water on the drivers side. Let me first say that, the window was up, the door was shut and no bottle was near the scene of the crime. Anyone know what could have caused this?!? I can post a picture if anyone wants so they can see what and how much water was there. I am just wondering what everyone might think could have caused this!
Any info will help to maybe not have this happen again. Thanks a bunch in advance!

is your weatherstripping along the doors in good condition?
Just this past week i replaced all my weatherstripping on my drivers side doors. Also the rubber stuff at the bottom. Cuz mine was leaking just a bit. The strippping was warped on my front Drivers door.
It was a very small leak, but still..

Everything looks good. The passenger side is a little warped, but nothing to complain about. I need to bring my car in anyway for an oil change and some other things are broken (car is still under warranty) so I will have them look at that as well.
I appreciate the feedback. Thanks!

Mine started about 2 years after buying my car, or that's when I first noticed. When I took it into the dealership for the leak they told me they would charge me by the hour to have a mech hose the car down with water until they found where the leak was, then if it was a warrantied repair I wouldn't have to pay for the hoser. I told them to cram it with walnuts and have found that as long as my car isn't parked with the back end lower than the front (downhill) then it stays nice and dry during extended rain. Melting snow never seems to get in.

It's a 2000 Olds. GLS. I am putting a picture with it. It was right in front of the drivers seat, in a nice little puddle. From what I can see it looks like there is a dripping mark near the door, and it went to the floor to make a puddle not sure how it could have been like that, since the windows were up and the door closed. Oh well.

Wow that's horrible. I wouldn't leave the dealership until I had all new weather stripping around the doors. There is no way you should have to pay for that.

if it was dripping at the top of the door. i would a body shop check how well the door is sealing.

I need to bring it back for an oil change, so while i am there I am going to ask if they can check it. I was a shock, but what could I do...any problems with having the floor wet like this? anything horrible going to happen?

yeah the floor is going to rust right out from underneath you and before you know it, you're going to be able to look down and see the pavement...LOL.
Basically your car is going to smell real bad if the water sits in there too long. After you get it out, you're going ot have to pull back your carpeting where it was wet and make sure that you get not only the carpet, but the padding and the metal under the padding all dried up or you'll be in for a smelly time.

the only really issues from the water on the flor is mildew in the carpet and smelling lke ass in your car.
