Bearing Plates

ik i just got done putting my struts back toghter and i noticed that the bering plates the rubber is missing/crumbeling from them should i replace must i replace. and what will happen if i wait a while to replace them?

i have the same issue. my suspension pops when i turn the wheel really hard, but that's about it
