Never heard of anybody having to replace the flexplate. How many miles on the car? What year? And is it an auto or manual? I've never heard of an auto tranny's flexplate cracking, they just don't put much stress on it.

it's only got about 108,000 kms on it, which is pretty weird.
I did notice it was going little by little, and then suddenly, ticking.
and yes, it is an auto.
It goes in tonite! wish me luck
