OK it's 640 right now and I'm getting ready to go. Forcast is looking better for today that is was earlier in the week, but it's going to be very hot and humid today. I got the sunblock.
Counting today, there is only 3 days left in the season. I am in 12 place, just looking for 8th so I can get that jacket, and Daytona is in 6th looking for that top 4 spot to go to nationals down in Delaware.
With today weather I think a 15.50 is in order, however I said that last time and the car ran a 15.30 in all the heat and humity. Ahh can wait until the humity goes away to get back into the 14's

I screwed a perfect chance to (a) get to the Final Round, (b) get at least $100, and © move into a tie for 3rd or 4th place.
1st Round - Got a competition single when an opponent broke.
2nd Round - Beat a non-Points Firebird easily.
3rd Round - Beat the #3 Points guy in a tight race.
4th Round - Ran up against the #4 Points guy (I started the day in 5th, 2 points behind him and 3 behind the #3 guy). Tree'd him easily (.004 vs. .100) but then never tapped the brakes when I saw him charging up against me at the finish line 30mph faster than I was going. I ended up breaking out by almost .04 seconds! I beat him over the line by more than .11 seconds which should have been enough margin for me to know to hit the brakes and stay over the dial - BUT NO!!!!!! Son of a B----!
In 10 Points race days this season, I lost 6 or 7 of them at the finish line due to a brake/no brake situation. Either I tapped the brakes and let the other guy drive aorund me by a few thousandths or I don't hit the brakes when I should have and break out. I never had a season as bad as this. I'm usually very good at the finish line.
The winner of that round got a BYE into the Final Round. If I had won I would have moved into a tie with that #4 guy and into a tie for 3rd if I won in the Finals. Instead, I only move 1 point closer to the #3 guy and the #4 guy leapfrogs into 3rd himself and puts 4 or 5 points between me and him with only 2 race days left. I'm stuck in the #5 spot yet again due to my stupid mistake. Top 4 get Bonus $ and Top 5 go to the Bracket Finals. The money means more to me right now than the Finals so I have to be nearly flawless these next 2 weekends.

Yeah I didn't have a good day either.
The heat and humidity killed my times and the first round was a huge gift. I went up agasint a guy who had a -.080 red light but I fell asleep on the tree and had a .791 r/t, what a disgrace.
In the 2nd round I when up agasint a 12.48 Mustang and had only a .151 light, but my car fell off from a 15.66 to a 15.73. I lost by .04 seconds.
O well hopefully next week will be better
