Alright after reading endless threads on exaust, I am trying to get a consensus of what would be the most Modest aftermarket mufflers to the most raw sounding mufflers.

<Modest ------------------- Raw>
___________^

I want something right there as far as sound goes, louder than stock and will catch nearby attention when getting on it - but won't wake up the neighbors at 2 in the morning when I pull into my driveway.

Think I'm gonna go catback, as it sounds like the stock Cat does a good job w/ flow. (correct me if I'm wrong here, because I'll buy a new cat if that's the case)

If you can fine a Borla setup somewhere you would most likley be very happy.

i ran a custom flowmaster setup at a local exhaust shop, and it sounds excellent.

soundclip. (http://corpuschristiforum.com/download.php?id=88) its a flowmaster 40 series. NOT a deltaflow.

i heard somebody on here installed a flow 80's that one is supposed to be more quiet than the 40 correct?

on my 95 grand am, I had a 3100 with a straight pipe. never did get too loud, but the exaust setup on the car was pretty much stock minus the muffler.

i have borla muffler and tips, with naich's 3.5in cai and it is perfect for me... doing 1800rpms in 2nd and 3rd it has a quiet but really nice sounding rumble than if i lay on the gas it cranks out and stands out very nicely.

flowmaster 80 series with removed resonator after cat.

80's are all dual outputs, plus they are rated as some of the loudest flowmasters now that i look on their website.. I am looking for a single output. I am going to stick with the single side exaust on the car.

I want some tone, but nothing too loud.

I find it weird that no one jumped out and told u dynomax.

I have no opinion i was just surprised no one said anything about it and thought i'd ask why.

i have a dynomax dual setup with custom 2.5 from the cat
all you need to do is grab up a camaro muffler with single output and get somebody to bend it up. if it's too loud, put in a resonator. they aren't that expensive. my 4-banger sounds suprisingly beefy when i get on it, and has a nice low- tone at idle. get luck man. and remember, exhaust sounds differently to everyone. you have to decide for yourself what sounds good.

I just had a custom catback put in. I got 2.25 pipes with a Ractive muffler. Left in the stock cat and resonator. It has a nice deep sound and looks really cool. The only problem I have had is that I took a few hour drive and it got really annoying.

can you or someone else make a pic how you welded it to the stock pipe and how you installed it?

btw: did you take ofsett mufflers or did you make a custom pipe? im wondering how to realize....

Well I had a magnaflow prior to a few days ago and I loved it. It sounded real good and there was no drone while driving. Due to a nice cement parking spot stopper, i was forced to switch to a flowmaaster 80 series. Also has a good sound to it...definately think it is louder than the magnaflow was, but there is a bit of drone while just driving around...
