I was just wondering if there is a list of lowering spring rates somewhere on here. I would like to know the various rates for the spring companies. I know on my Cutlass, I was able to customize my suspension by choosing springs with certain rates. It is so much better on the road now. I was going to get lowering springs for my 04 Alero, but am trying to decide which brand.

I have read multiple posts on here about the ST, eibach, and intrax. I am looking for a good ride, better handling, and still retain some ground clearance. I drive my car everyday and don't want to worry about decapitating animals on the road, and will also be driving in some snow. I can't stand the wheel gap anyway, and it will look so much better lowered.

Check out the following thread. It's kinda old, but some good info....

Thank you very much. I don't know why I didn't see it when I was searching. I appreciate it! :) It would be interesting to compile a chart of all springs and their spring rates. I want a little drop, but don't want to ride like a tank!

Honestly, I've tried 3 of the major brands of lowering springs on my car (Eibach, H&R, and Intrax), and the average driver would be hard-pressed to notice a difference in ride quality between them. I haven't been in a car with Sprint/Springtech coils, so I can't comment on them. Stay away from any kind of coilovers though.
If you drive your car year-round, Eibachs lower the least, so you don't have to worry about pulling double-duty as a snowplow in the winter.
