hey my low tire pressure light has been coming on and off for a while now, and i know its because of my rear passenger side tire keeps loosing air and stops around 28 psi.
so offcourse i fill it up and my low tire pressure light goes away, untill it loose the air again. this generally takes 4-5 days for the tire to loose air. and i repeat the process
and im trying to save up enough money to possibly get the tire fixed or a new tire, so this is only temporary till its fixed.
well anyways i filled the tire today and checked all my tires and they are generally within 42-45 psi. and it says on the tire the max is 44 psi (do not fill past is what it really says)
but the thing is, my low tire pressure light hasnt gone away at all. and all the tires are full. i dont know why really, but what i think is i have lost so much tread and have little to no meat for tires that the car thinks i always have low psi.
my tires are 205/40/R17 and have probably less than half life left.

your low tire pressure lights needs to be reset everytime it comes on. When it comes on it don't go off until you reset it. It'll come on even after you rotate your tires.. so you'll need reset it after.
I dunno how you said it came on and went off. Weird.

As far as the light goes, Aftermath covered that :P
It sounds like a bead leak. They're nice and slow, and not noticeable at all pressures.
A flat repair isn't too expensive. 12.50 USD at a bele tire, prolly the same or close elseware
Tell them your style rims are known for leaking (they corrode easily) I had the same problem.
They'll clean away the corrossion. If there's something else, they'll fix that too. It's all covered under the flat repair.

hell, you could have a nail in it. I replaced my last stock tire a couple months ago and the dude pointed out a drywall nail in my tire that looks like it was in there quite a while (there were cracks leading from it). The nail kept the hole blocked, but with the expansion of the air with the weather, it just leaked really slowly. A lower pressure inside the tire could just be the threshold for the nail (or whatever could be in your tire)

Yeah, just take it to a tire place and tell them you have a slow leak from that tire. They should break it down, check for nails, clean the rim, and remount it. Shouldn't cost more than $15.
I bought a warranty for my tires from Discount for $15/each so they do it for free for me. And free rotation and balancing. :) Best $60 I spent.

The 60 only covers the tires from unrepairable damage and if you read the warranty it is prorated to different amounts depending on tread wear of tire. Discount tire offers free tire rotation and balancing to anyone that bought the tires from them originally. Most will even repair a tire for free as well.

Just have the tire remounted and have the replace the stem, it only cost 9 dollars around here for mounting and stem.

Well I didn't buy the tires from Discount, I just bought the warranty for the free balancing. The repairs are a bonus. And if I do blow a tire and get some money for new tires, extra extra bonus. It's $12/tire to balance, or $15/tire for the warranty which includes lifetime balancing and everything else. I already had one flat repaired, and had them balanced like 4 times, so I got my money's worth.
And even if you bought the tires from them, you have to pay to get that stuff done. You just the free mounting/balancing when they put them on your car.
