ok new waterpump, flushed system now with 50/50 water/waterwetter, 1 yr old 180 t-stat, new gatorback belt, have checked a washed radiator fins, fans are operating normally and i can feel the air being pulled through the front, i can see no problems with my cooling system, and it may just be paranoia on my part, or hotter summer days, but, it was running 190 to 195 degrees consistantly after the waterpump change and coolant flush, monday i went a service call to freer and georgewest, running 85 to freer 190 to 195 degrees, freer to GW, running at a higher speed 210 degrees, dropping back to 85 cooling quickly back down to 190 degrees, today driving home running freeway speed 70 to 75, it was running 200 degrees, and it was a very very humid day. and i dont see any problems with my hoses?
just paranoia or any ideas?

sounds like paranoia to me. not really sure what my car runs at but all i know is it stays somewhere in the middle of the stock gauge.

could it be the water/wetterwater mixture?.
Since I replaced my water pump and put in the green stuff i've seen average temps just below half on the temp gauge. If i'm sitting in traffic it sometimes rises to just above half. On the highway its either bang on half or just below. even in the heat.
I don't know much about wetterwter. is it anything like the green stuff?

On highway i sit about middle on the stock gauge.
Sitting in traffic i'll be between middle and next notch.
^ (whatever those temps are)
and its been a wicked hot summer and really REALLY humid here.
90-97 degrees 100% humid all the time.

i usually run around middle of the stock gauge, but sometimes in traffic it gets up to about 5/8 or a little less and i crank the defroster because im paranoid about overheating. thats how i fudged up my 87 deville.

nah, its not the waterwetter mixture, it was doing the same thing with the dex, it cools down much quicker now, this didnt really start happening till summer really kicked in.
water is a racing coolant, not antifreeze by anymeans, just a cooler.

I think for some reason every alero runs a bit hot. Im at dead center driving normaly but sitting in traffic it gets a bit above the half mark.

yeah if you guys are paranoid about your temps, buy the casper switch, you'll enjoy it because you basically control your temp.....from overheating.
