Door Switch/sensor

This week, i'm drawing, and planning to use up the rest of my LED's. i got 32 that i'm put'n in my doors. but i need to know where the sensor is that tells the dome light that the door is open. (i want the led's to turn on when the door opens)

where would i splice into such a line, or find the sensor/switch to do such a thing?

front doors are built into the door latch

so how does it know when to turn off the dome light off? when the latch is tripped it turns off??

yes, you could just use the dome light wire....

...orange one, running from the back seat on the drivers side, in the wire bundle under the kick plate?

i never found it. lol. i have limited patience when it comes to that sort of stuff though.

hmm... i'll have to look. but chances are i'll end up losing patience as well and change that part of the project.
