I'm new around here, I just picked up my 01' Alero with a 2.4L and Auto. It's only got 28xxx Km on it. Now to the question. I wanted to get the GM supercharger kit, but I was wondering if the auto tanny can handle the extra power without killing it. I also plan to change the intake manifold, larger TB and air intake too. Any info would be greatly appreciated. :thumb:

Mainly I want to smoke my friend and his 03' Vibe GT cuz he's getting a bit cocky with it, and thinks it's the bomb.

yeah that auto will handle the extra power. and you have an 01 which means you can use the whole kit including the reflash...which is good. it'll make everything pretty simple and straight forward. and then you'll be walkin all over that vibe GT.........and i know you mean at the track.. :thumb:

So when you said there's a reflash, does that mean that GM has finally has a factory reflash or do I need to find somekind of aftermarket reflash? Also would anyone have the part #'s for these. :thumb:

I'm pretty sure that if you get the GM S/C, a dealer can do the reflash. Some other brand's S/C will have to look for the reflash from somebody...I hear it's cheaper to go the GM route, plus you probably don't want to spend a fortune just to beat a Vibe. ;)

GM S/C part #12498660
manual tranny calibration # is 88961331, auto is 88961332

could somebody please put that info in a sticky so I don't have to keep re-posting it, thanks for the :help:

go to dealership parts department... order gm supercharger.... install it... take it to dealership, give them documentation needed for the reflash that comes with it... and blam there ya go...

the intake manifold is already changed on the gm supercharger setup... the only thing YOU would have to worry about is, a larger throttle body, and intake, header, and 2.5inch exhaust.... sweet times then.
