Hi everyone...I searched for a resolution on here before posting.

I've replaced the passenger side low beam pigtail about 3 times as of today because the EuroLights Xenon constantly melt the connector. I have reverted back to 'stock' bulbs (but I didn't want to!!)
/
I have the recent bulb replacement melted to the harness--can't pull them apart!!
\
Has anyone had this problem AND solved it? either by silverstars, better harness, etc.. I've replaced it with two different types of pigtails both about 16-18guage wiring.

I have heard Xenon's and Alero's dont go together---my sunbird didn't have a problem with them (RIP).

so, anyone have thoughts/fixes for this? My high beams don't melt and it seems to affect the passenger low beam most of the time... Lesst han 2 weeks ago!

Thanks!!

Michael

I built custom harnesses out of 14 guage wire.

Topic here (http://invision.aleromod.com/index.php?showtopic=13358&hl=) i'm gonna be running the 80/100 watt streetglow bulbs.

Yea, since your draining more current your gonna make more heat. Thats why you need a bigger guage wire. The stock ones will just melt.

yeah ive had the same problem twice. 1st time was with the euro bulbs. the 2nd time was with redline bulbs. But the redlines seem to last longer

ya, i built my own also. but autozone carries a beefier premade/wired connector for it also. they probably wont know what the hell you're talking about. just go look in the ricer section, they'll be there.

I used to have the EuroDezigns Xenon lowbeams and I had no problems with them (I had them for about a year, until they burnt out when my fuel pump shorted out...at the exact same time.)

you're probably using the wrong kind of bulb (as in "the wattage is too damn much for our cars") those 7000k Lumens bulbs are way too much. about 5500k is the max. (I think stock ones are around 4000k????)

EuroDesign by Xenon draws more power then our wiring harness. Our aleros are rated at 55Watts.

EuroDesign I belives draw at 65Watts. I mean the blue bulbs. The Cool blue draws less but arn't as bright.

Best to stick with Slyvia SilverStar. or do the custom wiring harness setup.

yeah, silverstars look good and are the correct wattage... also, phillips bulbs have been given good reviews too.

The wiring is pretty weird, i had the eurolite blue bulbs in there for a while and my sockets melted seven months later, i replaced them with the super plasma and i got high performance sockets, right in the rice section lol but at advanced auto. I got the super plasma ones, they got a lil bit of a purple tint but they aint nothin special, but eh anything beats stock :P
