Installing Rims........

i didnt have any trouble with the front but the rear i am, it seems like when i tighten the lugs down i can get it full tightened onto the hub but it doesnt grab onto the rotor, so there is some play.......

to me the problem looks like the hub sticks out too far past the rotor.........now on the hub, it has like a rust line, and i just put new rotors on, and it seems like the rotor thickess where it sits between the hub and wheel is thinner than what I had no before.......are there spacers i can get??

did ya check to see if the hub nut is tight on there?

other then that, i really don't know man...if you got rotors made for the 'ho it should be the same thickness...

somethin must be loose there somewhere

i dont think it can be lose, i mean if i tighten it anymore im breaking some lugs off.........and the weird thing is that i did notice the rust line on the hub, as if i had rotors that were a little bit thicker before, and the funny thing is that if the rotors sat where this line was it would be perfect.........

and pictures wont do any good, all i can tell you is that i tighten them down as far as they go, and theres still a small small space between the rim and the rotors.......enough to where you tighten it down and you have no play, but once you drive it......it comes back loose.......the space is so small a 1/4 inch spacer would do it.......

i went and got what i think was 1/4 spacers, the front was fine but the rear was the problem, i got 4 anyway just so that it would all be even, it fixed the rear, but the machining musta been slightly off cause on the front i had a mild/serious vibration in the wheel at high speeds.took them off and it went away....its going to take some time to get use to, it drives different, feels different, different noises.......and if anyone else is like me, new noises bug me lol.....but yea for the most part its fixed

lol i hear ya on new noises....skinny tires make ya hear/feel the road helluva lot more

if they're skinny enough, you can even feel the paint on the road....it's scary. lol

what? no....i had 40's on my 18's and couldn't feel THAT much on the road...medium pebbles tho, ya

yea but "40's" are only relevant to the width of the tire, as 40 simply means 40% of your tire width. it's not an actual measurement like mm, cm, in, whatever.
