Well i think your best bet would be useing the search feature to find answers faster.

But if your water pump is acting up you might be leaking from the pump, your engine will get hot faster. gl

on my 3400 engine.. it was coolant was sprayed under the hood from it leaking out of the side of the water pump onto the belt and slinging onto the hood. And coolant bottle being empty real quick too.

^, ya I had the same symptoms. pretty cheap to replace. and I recommend that you flush your cooling system and replace the dexcool with the green stuff.

Well my low coolant light came on way back in the winter, so I flushed the radiator and it went off.........the other day is came on again and I checked the reservoir and it was empty, so I filled it up and drove it about 25 miles and it came on again...........once again the reservoir was empty........I have parked it till tomorrow when I can get an appointment to get it looked at........You think maybe it never got to the point where antifreeze was spraying all over? I just hope it dont cost TOO much to fix!!!

If you have a 3.4 then you might have a LIM gasket leaking. Leaking coolant is one of the many symptoms of it.

dood!!!!1

take it some where else
$900 is way too much

a new pump is like $150CDN.....and the labour is like an hour or two. Dont let them fix it for that much! Total rip!

did a little reseach and you can get a water pump for the 2.4L for way less than $150.....

dam dood, im sorry I couldnt have told you sooner.

I really suggest that whenever you get work done on your car do a little reseach. It only takes a little time and can really pay off in the end.

Hope you dont get screwed again.......
