Not what you're thinking....
My fiancee locked the keys in the 'lero. >.< Don't ask me how...but she did.
I was wondering if anyone has made her mistake and had to fish em out, and what's the best technique?
Besides calling a lockout service and paying 60 bux for 2 minutes of work.
Any advice would rock.

Yea, I've done the same thing except my car was running. (I got stuck and was trying to rock my way out of the snow well I was looking out the open door and didn't think about the fact that the doors look when you shift it out of park). To unlock my doors I just took a small thin prybar and wrapped it in a rag and used that to pry the passenger door out just a little then i used a coat hanger to push the unlock button, not the best way to do this i know but it worked for me and no chipped paint either

Rockin' I'm sure I'll be able to get it in the morning. I just found it amusing that she did it. Thanks for all your replies, I'll keep you posted.

1.get a coat hanger
2. straighten it out and bend one end in a small U
3.pull the fuzzy window trim piece off the window.
4.then just find the small metal bar that locks and unlocks the door.
5. give it a yank w/ the coat hanger "slimjim"
6. door should unlock.
or
get a small thin screwdriver and thick paper clip and work on your lock picking skills until you get it right...
or
wrap a shirt/coat around your elbow and bust out a window. preferably one where you can reach the unlock part. :emotlol:
ok... that last two werent very serious...

Get your registration or VIN, take it to the local GM dealer, have a key cut, it'll cost you at most $5 since there isn't a chip in it. That way you don't break anything and you'll have an extra key if ever this happens again. (I work for a honda/GM dealer, I get the keys for free)

HAHA!! i locked the keys in my chevy truck in the parking lot at school one morning, while it was running..i had left it runnings, keys in ignition, and locked the door. They called me to the office and told me..after it had been sitting there for 30 min. But it is easy to break into them, just open that back sliding window with your fingers, lol. so i was all good.

I got it done, I didn't have any wire coathangers. I took a flathead screwdriver and wrapped it in a sock.....used that to pry the door apart....then took the antenna from my truck off and used it to hit the unlock button. Was fun, easy stuff.

I had that same problem a few months ago.
I was a victim to the autolock feature (you can turn it off, refer to your service manual)
Since my car's ignition was in the on position, I had better luck going through the driver rear passenger door, to get to the window button on the passenger rear side.
(straightened out coathanger)
(flat tip screw driver or prying tool, cover with a rag, old tire tube)
Pry back the driver rear door enough to fit coat hanger through, push button.
If your keys are on one of the seats, (or dash) You can also hook the end of your hanger and use it to grab the keys. May not work if you have a clunky key chain.
Hope this added information is of good use.
