Removing Cigarette Lighter Cylinder Thing.

so i have the trim around the radio all off and i am trying to get the cylinder that lights cigarettes out because i dont want to paint that, but its not pushing out like i thought it should, any advice?

Yeah... sorry it doesn't come out like it looks like it should. I ended up masking it off on the first piece of trim i painted. but the second piece of trim I painted.. well i wanted it out of there so I just sliced off one of the 2 plastic pieces that look like they should push in, and it popped right out. Mind you, if you go this route, you'll have to secure it back in place either with silicone or glue (I would recommend silicone). :) Hope I helped.

ya i futzed for like 30mins than said f*** it and just painted it.

Yeah, I painted the first one, too.. when I say I 'masked' it.. I really mean I stuffed it with electrical tape.... lol
