Hey guys i have the jensen 9510

everything worked fine untill i blewout my 12" sub.

so i went and bought another one right.

this one is better its a spl 12" sub

better than my audiobahn flame q seriers 12"

i hook it up and start letting the sub pound.

so tonight i turn all my screens on and they all work fine. except my in dash

when i turn my voulme up to 25 the screen dims with the bass, i have never had this problem until i got my new sub.

im confused, how can i fix this with using the same amount of sub power

thanks alot

well its supposed to keep anything running off your battery like stereo, headlights, etc from dimming kinda acts like an extra batary in a way...

you might look into buying one that should prolly fix your problem....

If your headlights slighty dim when the bass hits its most likely sucking up to much juice lol a power cap should be able to fix that that would prolly also explain why your monitors are dimming too...

I hope that might have helped your problem

yes same thing, how much power are you running total?? more than likely a cap isn't going to solve your problem, thats what an upgraded alternator is for.....check all your grounds, check to make sure everything is hooked up right......after that id just say your sub is just using more power than the other i guess.....

im running a 2.2 farad on a 500/1 it does it famously but still up around the 70-80 volume range it has a lil dim.....

Ya but get a cap quickly or u wont be having a battery....

You could just buy a "better" battery and be done with it. ie: redtop

wrong, accessories run off of the alternator when the car is running, a better battery wont do a whole lot, bigd said it right when he reccomended an alternator upgrade, but a new battery AFTER that couldnt hurt.

If you say so, cause I upgraded my battery and I havent had any flickering since.

well maybe, just maybe if your old battery was going bad, it could have been pulling more from the alternator than a new battery, optima or not.

You could get away with a redtop "optima" deep cycle battery(good investment) and a cap.(capacitor)

Quoted post

thats not definately the fix, i had the dimming, replaced my battery with an optima red top and i still have dimming, im in the middle of a new alternator and getting a new pully for it.........

so dont say something will or wont work when you dont know for sure, id say try the battery first, if it works good, if it doesnt dont be surprised and your going to need either a new alternator(maybe your stock one is sufficient its just crapping out) or you need an upgraded one.........

i got the 75/35 or 35/75 (not sure which it is), some people have had trouble finding this model but it fits perfectly........ive heard the one you choose requires a tiny bit of modification.......and that price is freakin expensive.........i got mine at costco for 110 after tax.......
