Quck Help....did I Get The Right Hub Puller?

i got a hub puller to pull the hub off of my front left axel. and i dont know if its right. it attaches to the hub, and pushes it off. when i started to crank it, it just pushed the axel in, not the hub off. doesn't seem right, did i do somthing wrong?

it prolly is the right puller but it sounds like your but is jammed in there. Mine was the same way when I replaced mine. What I had to do is take a hammer and chisel to pound it out. Around the edges of the hub and from the back pounding on it. If you have torches to heat it up which helps alot. Just gotta put some muscle into it.
