installed my new coilpacks, runs great at idle and normal driving, under heavy throttle it begins to misfire or crossfire, my wires are fairly new, but i may need to buy better ones, i have the taylor 8mm's any other ideas on this?

had to pull them off, and put the stock ones back on, i rerouted my wires so they weren't touching, and had the same problem? this is gettin to me, 100 bucks down the drain unless i can find the problem, maybe new wires, just to be sure? i dont know?

are you throwing any codes? can you tell if its all cylinders or narrow it down to a couple??

ive heard iffy things about those taylor wires, and your stock ones are stock ones......

maybe two much juice for your plugs and you have some that are going bad?? dont know, just throwing some ideas out there

I'd guess plugs if they have 55,000 miles on them. I usually change plugs relatively frequent, and it makes a difference in my other cars. Plus, they don't cost too much. Just guessing, here! ;)

yea after hearing they have that many miles, and you are trying to throw a better spark at them, maybe they are having trouble handling it........

bigd is right, if those are your stock plugs and your throwing more electricity to them, they cant handle it. so they are the ones that are f***ing up. i replaced my plugs at around 45k. i didnt notice any difference but i hope my car runs better.

i replaced my plugs at about 80k as i was having a few misfires once in a while that'd throw a code. a few had a bit of buildup on em but one was worn down so bad i could easily fit the whole gauge in. you can try gettin some new plugs, it won't hurt any i kno that much

i think i replaced mine at like 80,000 and man i felt a major difference......it was just smoother at idle and smoother thru lower acceleration, but at full throttle its hard to notice a lot.......gas mileage got a tad better but nuthin to write home about......

I've been having MSD coil parks since 30k miles now i'm at 103k miles. With MSD wires. But I hear taylor wires are crap and causes misfires. I believe some here are experience the same too and many on gagt.com. You can search over there. Yea I change my plugs every 30k miles, just for the heck of it.
