 Hows it going guys... I've been reading about people having a hard time starting the 3.4's
I've got 112 000 km's on the 02'...and i've been having a bit of problem since 90k or so. It'll normally start with just a flick of the key, but on occasion it needs to be held in the start position for a second or two, it'll take a few seconds of turning over before it'll go.
Sometimes when it starts, it has the noise...*hard to explain* Its the noise when a car is running, and you turn the key..while its running... sometimes its got that noise...
And I've had to fill the coolent twice in the last 3 months...that dosent seem normal to me...anyways, sorry if this is confusing...but thats my problem...anybody out there in the same boat?

A old trick that I used and I am sure other guys have also. What you wanna do is just turn the key to ACC for about 5 seconds to allow the fuel pump and lines get all primed, then it should crank right over.

if you find yourself refilling the coolant then you probably have the dreaded but normal lower intake manifold gasket leak. im not sure what effect that would have on start up though.

the coolant issue would be with the LIMG leak, and what Vtolds said, is true, i even do that, it starts right up.
