Get one of those little windshield repair kits for $6 from an auto parts store and fix it before it gets any bigger.

Like smlz said, just get it replace as quick as possible. My buddy had a cracked windshild and didnt want to fix it. When he was driving on the expressway a trailer chucked a rock at it and it shattered. he then drove 20km home in december....

there's usually some douchebag in the mall always trying to sell me windshield replacement kits, and I always give him a sarcastic response. (him: do you have a crack in your windshield that needs fixing? Me: no, but I got a crack in my ass, care to fix that? LOL)
Maybe the mall in your area has a jerk like that, and you can make his day by saying YES!!! Fix my windshield!

I just had my windshield replaced by Safelite, with tax was $211.00
They give you a quote over the internet, site below:

you guys have to pay to have your windshield replaced??? down here it is covered by insurance and you don't even have to pay for the deductable or anything, if it cracks it's free...

There's no deductible, because all I have on the Alero is liability. No collision no theft = low rates. Paying for the windshield is still cheaper than if I would have had full coverage for the last couple of years. It's not worth it for a 4 year old Alero. At least for the rates that are charged for living in New York.
