View Full Version : Stupied Rear Plugs And Wires

So last night 9:00 I started to take my rear pugs and wires out. Well all three wires broke at the plug and I have to remove the Alternator and bracket to remove them it took over 3 hours to do and to make things worse I lost power at midnight. I put the plugs and wires in in the dark. I ll put some picks up later of the wire and my whole ordeal.

lol i wrote a how to a while back and yes its a pain in the butt.....you dont have to pull off the alternator to get at them.....first rule of thumb never pull on the wires itself, always on the terminal.....i made that mistake on one wire, and it was heck trying to get it off, if you pull off your ignition it makes it easier, plus i think there is a vacuum hose ythat you can undo and pull it out of the way and it gives you more than enough room, it should be right below where the alternator is.....if you got any other questions just let me know

I was pulling on the boat and and it tore the boat off and the wire cam with it. I did read your post on the how to do it but taking the alternator out was the only way to get a knife in there to cut the reast of the boat off.

lol damn that thing musta been on there good, same as mine, i think i built so much muscle getting those back ones off, did you make sure to put tons of that stuff that makes sure they come off easy next time? glad u got it figured out

Yes i did i hope i never have to tkae them out again.
