Remote Control To Unlock Door

sorry for my bad english, i'M french of quebec city, i have purchase Alero Gx 2001 and no remote is include to unlock door ans i view on ebay remote for 13$ to unlock door of alero it's working or not ?

The answer is no. The internal computer is not set up for keyless entry on the GX. You would need to go to a custom shop and have them put keyless entry on aftermarket. I've done it for a few customers with no complaints. they can hook you up with power windows as well if it tickles your fancy.

Yep, I had to have a keyless entry system install on my 03 GX.

The factory keyless entry is only a 3-wire install, I haven't yet tried it on my '04 GX but I'll definitely post it when i get it done if it works.

i have the 2001 GX also...last weekend i had my alarm/keyless entry put in...it cost a little more than what you found on ebay though lol...it cost 400 with install so i think ur ganna have to go that way if you really want it.

Wow that was a lot of money for an alarm/keyless entry. I had one installed when I first purchased my car by a GM installer, and it was only $175. Yours must have some extra features..

I am the owner of an automotive custom shop and we have been working on my 99 olds alero. we just did a keyless entry on it and works great!

My keyless entry with auto start, 2-way page, starter kill, remote open trunk. DEI total $800 Cdn

And to top it all off I just discovered a short and that the trunk is not really armed. NOT HAPPY!!
