First off, I made a stop at Firestone to get 2 new tires, so for the first time in about 2 years, all 4 of my cars tires match! :beerchug:
Anyway, while there, they told me that the rear rotors were about 90% worn and should be replaced really soon. (The way I figure it out, I have until the end of the summer) They want about $140 for a pair of rear rotors. I came home and did some shopping for rear rotors.
OEM:
www.buy-oem-parts.com $136
PowerSlot/aftermarket:
www.pfyc.com $188
www.andysautosport.com $168
I'm looking for a few opinions on the powerslot rotors. Would it be worth it to buy the upgrades for replacements? Or should I stick with the stock parts? I don't plan on buying OEM parts online unless the shipped price is less expensive (total) than Firestone's price. I might get aftermarket parts if I get some genuine good reviews.
Thanks!

i wanted to get these but shipping would have been the same price as for the rotors.

Or you can go through the TireRack banner on the front page and get OEM Brembo rotors for $104. ;) I wouldn't be too concerned with any form of performance brakes on the rear. I'd save as much as possible on the backs and put that money into upgrading the fronts.

I wasn't aware that tirerack.com would have brakes stuff. If the shipping is less than $40, you can guarantee that I'll be buying those soon. Thanks! :thumb:

Cro, thanks for the effort, but I am kind of steering away from the cross-drilled rotors because I have heard some horror stories. If they are really drilled (as opposed to cast) then they are more prone to stress fractures and breaking right off. I don't think I want that. lol

^ I've seen somebody's cracks, they got them replaced before they broke off though.

I'd probably stick with some oem or equivalents for the rear rotors.
If anything, I do believe our cars rely alot more on the fronts than the rears.
Go with OEM Rears, and upgrade to better Fronts :)

Try World Discounts at Elmwood & Great Arrow. The rotors are around $18.00 each & are better than the factory rotors. I have an account with them & get a discount. Replace the pads with Raybestos Ceramic's.
Here is the link to their Website............
