so i got this stock 2001 2door. i have a small budget, down to about 400$ after ordering the CAI for Naich. now i don't know what else i want to do. I found some Strut tower braces for 100$, but i would also like to do something to the exhaust, but my dad says if i leave it he will help me get something nice if the stock ever starts to crap out. I would like to get my car re-chipped but thats costly usually. Umm, i also found an ignition system for 200$ that says it will increase gas milage by 14%... or should i just focus on cosmetic stuff like window tinting and a new cd changer. What do you guys think? keep in mind im no mechanic.

For that amount of money, I would by an electronic shift enhancer like the autotrans interceptor or B&M shift ehancer. Then, I would lower the car and tint the windows. That's just my $ .02.

Tint it and save the rest for gas.

Springtech springs=$150
tint=$150 (if you are looking at $200 for tint, they are ripping you off)
electronic shift=$40-$125
mechanic fee= $0, find a friend of do it yourself

tint includes front and back windshield, and has a lifetime warranty... cheapest guy around.

Pricing for tint totally varies by location, quality of work and materials, and a million other things. Go with what you think the best price is. I was thrilled to get mine for $170. I just hope you're really not tinting the front windshield. Because that's really illegal for a reason.

Springs are just about the best looking mod you can make. The car looks like a four by four when it's not lowered. Just go with what you want to do. Our opinions really shouldn't matter very much, it's your decision. However, I would go with springs and tint.

springs wont hurt ya in the snow, i go to school in Grand Forks ND and am here all winter, the snow removal here sucks at best and they havent hurt me yet and i dont think they will. if the snow is deep enough to cause problems with ride height you wont be going very far anyway.

Good choice, post up some pics when you get them done. About the snow, you shouldn't have a problem. When I first moved to Colorado, I had a lowered RX-7. I was in the mountains every weekend during the winter to go snowboarding. I never had problem with it.
